The Paul W Risseeuw Sportsmanship Award is awarded by the ECSA board when a suitable candidate is recommended by the ECSA Junior Chair/Committee.

Nominations may come from sailors, parents, and club junior program instructors/leaders. Approximately 150-200 words for your nomination is sufficient, but commenting more fully is acceptable. You may compose your nomination offline, then copy/paste into the Nomination Narative field. Or you may attach a document to the submission.

No further supporting documentation is required now, but we may contact you for more information or to discuss your nomination.

You can submit a nomination at any time.

Nomincation must be submitted by August 13, 2026, 6pm to be considered for the 2026 award. Submission after that will be consider for 2027.
